It was around this time a year ago that I was putting together the words I wanted to share at my dad’s memorial service. My dad never walked on the moon. He didn’t play for the Reds. He wasn’t elected Senator. He drove 18-wheelers. He was an ordinary man yet, somehow to me, his was a very rich story. I mean, after all, my dad drove a HUDSON!
The day I was working on Dad’s story, I took a break for Lynn and me to enjoy a beverage and lunch at Sonder Brewing in Mason. I had assumed the place was named for the owner, but I learned that day that “Sonder” is a noun. Sonder is “the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own.” That lunch provided a priceless reminder that everyone’s story, no matter how humble, matters! Sonder fueled my enthusiasm for telling Dad’s story.
In the dental office we are reminded every single day that one’s smile is reflective of her/his story. Yes, we’re in the business of maintaining health, but we’re also in the business of promoting pride and confidence and unbridled smiles. Sonder is alive and well at the dental office. We’ve got room for your story.
Dr. Davis is especially good with kids. And his staff? Helpful, compassionate, and caring. They take care of business for you. Thumbs up. 10 on a scale of 5.
