Bonding

The ‘Bonding’ era of dentistry arrived early in the 1980’s and continues to thrive as dental materials continue to evolve and improve. ‘Bonding’ is the name for any dental procedure involving the use of an acidic gel and flowable bonding resins to adhere dental restorative materials to either a tooth or other dental restorative materials. The bonding of dental materials allows for more conservative tooth preparations/reductions and more cosmetic final results.
